What Can You See?

The Seestar S30 Pro is particularly rewarding on nebulae, galaxies and star clusters. New Zealand gives it an exceptional southern sky to explore, including the Carina Nebula, Tarantula Nebula, Omega Centauri, 47 Tucanae and Sculptor Galaxy. Rather than struggling to make out a faint grey object through an eyepiece, you can watch the telescope gradually build a clearer, brighter and more detailed view on your screen.

How the Seestar S30 Pro Works

Using the S30 Pro is deliberately simple.

Connect a compatible phone or tablet and open the Seestar app. The Sky Atlas lets you explore what is available from your location, learn about different objects and choose something you would like to see.

Select your target and the S30 Pro automatically moves to the correct part of the sky, locates the object and begins tracking it.

For faint galaxies, nebulae and clusters, the telescope continuously collects and combines suitable observations. As more light is gathered, the view on your screen progressively improves and detail that was initially difficult to see begins to emerge.

You do not need to manually focus the telescope, calculate where an object should be or repeatedly reposition it as the Earth rotates. Much of that work is handled automatically, leaving you free to explore the sky.

When you find something particularly interesting, you can save and share the view directly from your device.

Premium Optics, Filters & Practical Design

There is considerable technology packed into the S30 Pro, but its purpose is to make the telescope better and easier to use, rather than giving you more settings to manage.

The four-element apochromatic optical system with ED glass helps control unwanted colour and maintain clean, well-defined stars across the view.

Three built-in filters allow the telescope to adapt to different observing conditions. Of particular importance for astronomy is the dedicated light-pollution filter, designed around key wavelengths emitted by many nebulae.
